The Department of Political Science at Dhaka College is one of its largest and most prestigious departments, with a rich history of academic excellence. The Master's program was introduced in 1997, followed by the Honours program in 1998. Since then, a significant number of students have graduated, many securing positions in government and non-government organizations. Currently, around 1,400 students are enrolled in the department. A team of highly qualified and dedicated B.C.S. (Education) Cadre officers serve as faculty members, ensuring quality education and guidance. The department emphasizes critical thinking, governance, and policy analysis, preparing students for careers in public administration, law, research, and international relations. With a strong academic foundation, the department continues to produce skilled professionals who contribute to national development and global affairs.
